Thank you for your interest in helping the Columbus Arts Council. There are many ways you can give - whether it be your time, money, or support. The three main ways your can support the Columbus Arts Council are:
Items: The CAC has art classes throughout the year as well as a Summer Art Camp during the months of June and July. As you can imagine, students need numerous materials to complete their projects. Most of the time, we use grant money to purchase supplies such as paint and canvases, but we also use many things that can be found around your house. Things like paper plates, paper towels and markers can all be used in our classes. For a full list of items we need at the Columbus Arts Council, please visit our Donation Wish List.
Money: The Columbus Arts Council is primarily funded by memberships and grants. However, every little bit helps. If you wish to make a donation to the Columbus Arts Council, please click the button below.
The events and performances that happen through the Columbus Arts Council at the Rosenzweig Arts Center happen largely in part because of our patrons and sponsors. These wonderful individuals and corporations support the CAC and help us bring the arts to the community. We don't forget to thank our supporters though! With free tickets, discounts on classes and gallery sales, and advertising for our corporate sponsors, we like to thank everyone who supports the arts. Don't forget these donations are tax deductible!!
Patrons are usually individuals who donate anywhere from $50 to $1,000. We also have a Student Level and Junior Patron level for those under 18. Patrons are thanked with free tickets, discounts on classes and gallery sales, and by being listed in our event programs and Annual Report.
Sponsors are usually corporations who donate anywhere from $500 to $10,000. We like to thank our sponsors with advertising at our events, free tickets, free gallery rentals, and a thank-you on our event programs.

There are many ways you can get involved at the Columbus Arts Council. Whether you become a volunteer, a teacher, or an artist, your time spent with us is very much appreciated.
Volunteers are what make the CAC able to continue to provide quality programming, gallery shows, and classes for the community. You can share your culinary skills by volunteering for our Gallery Reception committee. If cooking isn't your thing, you can become a YPAS usher and help with the programs that we bring to the students of Columbus and beyond. To learn more about becoming a volunteer, you can go to our Volunteer page.
The Columbus Arts Council is always looking for quality, certified teachers to teach our summer art camp and our art classes which are held throughout the year. There are a few ways to become a teacher at the CAC. One is to propose an Art Underground class that you wish to teach. The second is to become part of our newest series of classes, Art for All. The third is to become one of our Spring or Summer Camp teachers.
We wouldn't be an art center if we didn't have artists! There are three main opportunities to become an artist at the Columbus Arts Council. The first one is to become one of our Gallery 2 artists. The second is to show your work in our new Artist Alley. Last but not least, is to look out for open calls and juried shows which allow anyone and everyone to show their artwork in our galleries. Our main juried art show each year is during Market Street, but we will hold smaller open calls in our Artist Alley throughout the year.
Many community groups hold meetings at the Columbus Arts Council. Included in those groups is the Gathering of Artists and the Columbus Community Theater. Our Gallery Committee also uses the CAC to hold meetings. If you wish to learn more about these groups, go to our Groups That Meet at the CAC page.
